Daire Brehan
BA, LLDip, BL, ITEC, OCR.
Daire grew up in Ireland where she was educated at Trinity College
Dublin. She trained independently in ballet and jazz dance and on
graduation her first job was as a professional dancer. While pursuing
careers in the theatre, as a familiar presenter on BBC Radio 4 and as
a criminal barrister, Daire maintained her interest and training in
dance and movement.
Diagnosed with cancer in 1999, Daire made a full recovery and
became interested in complementary therapies as an aid to healthy
living, pain management and disease prevention.
She began studying massage in her spare time and received her ITEC diploma in Holistic Massage in 2006. She has since achieved distinctions in her diplomas in Lymphatic Drainage Massage and Sports Massage. In 2006 Pilates was recommended to
her for the treatment of osteoarthritis. In July 2007 she obtained her OCR
certificates in Fitness, Exercise and Pilates instruction.
Daire continues to use her legal qualifications alongside a growing
practice in health and relaxation therapies. She is registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.
